Safety Coordinator – Local

We are looking for Safety Professionals / Coordinators with 1910 & 1926 experience and are ready to get to work immediately!  Qualified applicants must possess at least five (5) years of General Industry and/or Construction Safety experience in a supervisory capacity as well as the ability to develop working relationships with a wide range of industries and people.  IDEAL candidates will possess additional certifications:  MSHA 40-Hour; OSHA 500, OSHA 501, etc.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintain strong working relationships with clients, and integrating yourself as part of their team
  • Conducting on-site safety audits of work spaces, job sites, etc., in order to identify and correct hazardous conditions and behaviors and submitting reports via Predictive Solutions
  • Reviewing safety and health rules and procedures with employees, as well as conducting training – on the fly, on-site, and classroom settings
  • Coordinating with managers, department safety representatives, and employees to facilitate the resolution of any issues; and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Conducting and documenting incident investigations
  • Reviewing incident reports, and safety procedures to develop and implement improvement strategies
  • Scheduling and presiding over safety meetings
  • Assisting with the review/development of safety programs and training materials
  • Conducting research on OSHA regulations and industry best practices and being proactive with clients with regard to standard changes
  • Inspecting machinery, equipment, and safety gear to ensure proper operation and worker protection
  • Overseeing the installation of safety devices and protective equipment
  • 5 plus years experience minimum (Combination of work and education experience)
  • Able to perform and supervise duties of Safety Specialist
  • Possess and display supervisory/management skills and decision making
  • Demonstrate good analytical decision making during problem solving
  • Maintain cooperative working relationship at all levels
  • Perform all duties in an independent manner
  • Multi-tasking, and flexibility with changing priorities, as needed
  • Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position

Safety Coordinator

We are always looking for experienced Safety Coordinators to help our clients minimize the risk of job-related accidents. Safety coordinators should be well-versed in all OSHA dictations. Your work will be focused on prevention so you need to be diligent and analytical. You will possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers.

The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace for our clients and their employees.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare monthly safety meetings
  • Periodic job visitation and auditing
  • Maintain company safety and health programs
  • Perform monitoring activities as needed; i.e., air sampling
  • Create and conduct periodical training programs as needed
  • Manage and Investigate incident, injury, and near-miss occurrences
  • Determine Incident Levels for reporting
  • Interact on behalf of the company on all insurance activities relating to accidents or injuries
  • Provide on-going support for safety related needs.
  • Advise management of changes in regulations as needed

Education & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a 2 year Degree, preferred 2 year A.A.S. in safety related field, Bachelor Degree would be a plus
  • 5 plus years experience minimum (Combination of work and education experience)
